Character Name: Asterios
Canon: Fate Grand Order
Canon Information: Wiki!
Canon Point: After his "death" in Okeanos, he is summoned by the Player Character.
Age: Unknown. It's implied he's a full grown adult, so at the very least he's past 20.
God Houses:
1) Odin – Due to being locked away in the labyrinth since birth, Asterios was never formally educated. As such, he may be drawn to an opportunity to expand his knowledge, out of a mix of desire to help his Master (The Player Character) and simple curiosity.
2) Sigyn – Beneath the beast is a beauty – Asterios can be kind, offering help to those weaker than himself. He wants nothing in return for good deeds, content to protect others or offer what few words he can as comfort.
3) Heimdell – A Servant's loyalty to their Master is absolute, and Asterios exemplifies that. He will fight whoever they command without question, and he has laid down his life to protect his friends. He will endure any pain or torment if it means keeping his Master, or his friends, safe from harm.
Chosen : Ultimately, Asterios will choose Hiemdell. He will not feel worthy enough for other houses, but he understands loyalty more than anything. If asked, “would you give your life once more for your Master, for Euryale, for your friends?” he would respond “Yes” without hesitation.
Personality:
At first glance, Asterios really does look like a bloodthirsty monster. Even when he smiles, it looks demonic. But beneath the scars and horns, his is a gentle soul that longs to be left alone. When he fights, he releases all of his rage that years of loneliness and madness have built up inside him. As such, he won't be satisfied until his opponent is dead, making him a dangerous opponent. He typically only fights to protect those he cares about or under "Ritsuka's" (a.k.a the Player Character) orders, and he knows Ritsuka also fights to protect others. But if he is enraged, such as being reminded of his past or being treated like a villain, he will explode with anger and do all in his power to silence them. But a call of his name, to remind him of his remaining humanity, can try and help quell his anger.
When he isn't angry, he's actually very calm and quiet. He doesn't speak much, and when he does, it's usually in slow sentences. This sets him apart from several Berserkers, who have gone so insane they have lost their ability to speak at all. As a result of his upbringing, his education is severely lacking. However, this doesn't mean he is "dumb", he just doesn't know most do. In the labyrinth with Ritsuka, it was shown he has completely memorized his surroundings so perfectly he even made a cohesive map with the routes and patrols taken on by the other monsters inside. On the ship with Ritsuka and the pirates, he showed a remarkable insight and knowledge of navigation.
If a person is kind to him, they earn his loyalty pretty much instantly. Since he was treated so horribly in the original labyrinth, the mere act of saying his name is enough to warm his heart. In his Interlude, where Ritsuka sometimes enter the dreams of her Heroic Summons, it's shown he is gentle to small animals and often carries treats for them to snack on. But the Interlude also showed that the deaths of the humans he ate will forever haunt him. At times he's felt that instead of eating them, he should have let himself starve to death. Because of this, he is forever seeking atonement for his sins, and is afraid of becoming a heartless monster for real. Because he doesn't trust himself, he often distances himself from people, Ritsuka included, as he fears one day he'll snap and hurt them.
